STREET DANCE ACTIVISM POETIC MUSIC DECLARATION
we making music
we planting seeds of liberation
motivated reflections and projections noises
purposely for Global Dance Meditation for Black Liberation
we collective of artists
yielding a sonic harvest
sharing the bounty
thinking expansively
feeling deeply
giving freely
we offering a “sonic support system”
soundscapes, songs, bangin’ a** tracks, bops, audio essays, playlists, jams,
joints to give shape, to flow with
an immersive soundtrack for our journey
a reservoir of sonic offerings that draw from the past,
thrust into the future and
illuminate how we living RIGHT NOW
we improvisin’, freestylin’, cold craftin’ hot sh!t
to get yo meditation on,
booty shake, cry, close ya eyes,
hold a lover, shower, garden, cruise, sit alone,
turn up, slow down, cook, clean, dream to
we
propelled through collaboration
be
emerging from the
I AM
individually, collectively contributing original, remixed, reimagined material
that sounds like what you see
when you say, whisper, scream
freedom
from the center of who you is
and always will be

DAILY COSMIC QUANTUM DANCE CREATIONS
28 DAYS OF BLACK LIBERATION PLAYLIST
This playlist is meant to display the many varying and often contrasting musical perspectives on the subjects of liberation and survival under oppressive circumstances. There is not one overarching emotion or feeling. Although, due to the limits of my own knowledge, the majority of the voices here are from the United States, I made sure to include the perspectives of artists from all over the world. African, Afro-American, Afro-Peruvian, Afro-Colombian, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-British, Afro-Puerto Rican, Afro-Jamaicans artists are all present here and contribute to the conversation on liberation in unique ways. At times aggressive and at times peaceful, at times celebratory and at times defeated, the struggle for liberation embodies all emotional experiences and the multiplicity of Black be-ing.
